Why TIP?

The Agro-industrial Technology (TIP) Study Program is one of study program under the Department of Agro-industrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. This is an undergraduate program that was established in 1987 and has achieved an ‘A’ score from the National Accreditation Board for three consecutive accreditation periods, 1998, 2003, and 2008.

The Program is supported by 27 qualified academic staffs, 17 of them are Ph.D. holders, and the rest are master. Most of the staffs pursued their higher education at abroad universities in different field of knowledge in agricultural area.

In the learning process, the academic staffs have option to adopt a type of delivery method. The method of Student Centered Learning (SCL) is one of the delivery methods that is mostly used in the learning process.

Since 2008, the quality assurance system of TIP has been more effective with the implementation of the Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2008. The quality assurance is carried out and based on the concept of the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA).
